Backup camera relocation

I hope this is the right thread… so i got 20” wheels with a -18mm offset and 35” tires. EVERYTIMEEEEE i put my jeep in reverse, the backup camera thinks my tire/wheel is in the way and it just beeps until i put it in drive. What could i buy to fix this? Is there some sort of relocation bracket? Please help

Google for "Wrangler JL spare tire relocation bracket", and you'll find a large, maybe too large, of a selection.

I put smaller wheels and bigger tires on my Sahara, and had interference with the rear sensors. I opted for one of the more expensive, but the only easily adjustable bolt-on solution, the Teraflex Alpha HD kit.

Whatever you choose, make sure the spare tire is snugged against the bump stops. If you need longer bump stops, the JK OEM and aftermarket ones work on the JL.

Rough Country has the cheapest relocation bracket I've seen. It's available in two different height changes.

If they're long enough, the Synergy bump stops are nice. If not, you can use the Daystar ones.

People comment that the nubs need to be trimmed for the bumps, but they'll pop in with some force, just use a mallet handle to push them in.

Need to be relocated above the tire. Cant put your center caps on.

Newbie here. Having the same problem with my ‘23 Sahara changing to a 33” tire on a Fuel Boost 18x9 -12 offset and the camera picks up part of the wheel. Does the relocation bracket set the wheel back further for the camera to extend enough to not pick up the wheel? Thanks for any input…

I have 17x9, -12mm offset, 4.5" backspace wheels mounted on the Teraflex carrier. The camera still sees part of the wheel. Installing the Teraflex fixed my collision warning that was making me crazy with the factory carrier. The problem is that it only fixed it for a few weeks. Nothing has changed about how everything is mounted as far as I can tell, but I get a warning everytime I put it in reverse. I decided to just turn it off for the time being.

I've thought about removing the factory bump stops and pushing the spare closer to the tailgate, but the camera position will always be in the same position relative to the wheel, so I'm not sure it will help.

That was my exact thoughts on the positioning of the camera being relative to the wheel but being new, I wasn’t exactly positive. I have tried to remove the camera from the bracket, with tire and all bolts and screws removed but can’t push the camera out. Acts like it may be glued together to the bracket. Still reading threads to see if anybody can tell me how to get it out and not break it being plastic but no luck yet. I have turned down my alarm when backing up but hate to totally disable it. Thanks for your input…
