Backspacing with RK lift

I have a 3.5” Rock Krawler lift I’ll be putting on soon. I’m looking to order some beadlock wheels that’ll work with the required backspacing.

RK recommends 4.5” of backspacing for 37s. Would wheels with less backspacing work (3.5” for example) or would I need wheels with 4.5” or greater?

I’ve tried to understand and do my own research but I’m just so damn confused.

3.5 inches of backspacing pushes the wheels out further, so yes that would work.
