Has anyone installed the B and M extended transfer case shifter? The offset one?

Can you install that so it moves the shift knob toward the passenger side to give a little more room for the drivers knee?

Its designed to offset towards the driver. The 2 set screws shown line up with existing holes in the factory stalk below the knob. It could, theoretically be clocked wherever you wanted, but the set screws wouldn't have quite the holding power and the knob would probably interfere with other parts of the console, especially when in 4lo.

Here's a pic taken while I was in my regular driving position with foot padding the throttle. For further reference, I'm 5'11" and of proportionate build. Don't hesitate to ask, if more pics are wanted.

VERY helpful, thanks! So It appears that I could drill and tap new holes to move this pretty much however I want as long as they line up with the factory holes. That is easier than fabbing up a whole new shift rod. I am 6'5" and my leg sits on the sifter all of the time in 2wd, I THINK if i could off set it an inch or two I would be all set....

I'll make a mental note to take some more pics for you, when I head out for lunch. My regular driving position with the lever in 4hi and 4lo, so you have an idea of what kind of real estate is available.

They also offer a "knife handle" version, that has no offset.

Do you know if the offset shifter will accept the OEM or other aftermarket knobs? l’m not too fond of the shiny black and red knob that comes with it. Thx.

I wasn't crazy about the glossy finish myself. Would've preferred a matte finish. But once installed, it didn't look out of place. The function aspect is well worth looking past the little bit of gloss. The threaded stud that connects the knob to the lever looked like a standard thread size, but I'm not pulling it back off to measure. Took multiple attempts to get it tightened up straight. OCD was kicking in big time

The upside to the glossy finish is you can check out your beard without having to look in the mirror!

I installed mine yesterday. Way too expensive for what it is. Very nice though. It does make it bit easier to get into 4WD.

@bigfoot21075, looks like you were looking for a solution 2 years ago to the problem I am having now. I'm wondering if you were successful turning the transfer case knob toward the passenger side to eliminate the knee rub? I'm 6' 3" and have that same issue.

No, my solution was to take the knob off of the shifter and leave it in the console for when I need it. This combined with my modified seat bracket mostly keeps my knee off of the transfer case leaver. Not the ideal solution for sure, but it does work. Wish i had better news for ya. if I come across something different I will post it.
