Axle shaft play

I noticed, while changing out a rear calliper the axle shaft has play horizontally. Wondering if anyone thinks this is an issue. Could also see the spline end move with the differential cover off as well.

which direction are you talking about? movement is all over the place here. lateral movement is bad, axial movement is normal.
