Hello all! So I've gathered the following information from other threads regarding the AUX switches (if incorrect, please advise):

Jeep JL AUX Switch Wire Colors:
Aux 1 - Brown/Purple (40 Amp)
Aux 2 - Green/Purple (40 Amp)
Aux 3 - Orange (15 Amp)
Aux 4 - Blue/Purple (15 Amp)
ACC (Switched on by Ignition) Power - Pink/Orange
Constant Power - Red/White
Ground - Black

This weekend I'm installing my COBRA 75 and these LED lights I purchased on Amazon:
https://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B...tailpage_o01_s00?ie=UTF8&psc=1#productDetails
I read that these lights are draw 4.2 amps each. So I'm going to wire them up to the exterior AUX 3 wire under the hood and ground them under the hood as well. Will they require an inline fuse for the power wire? I purchased this wiring kit from Amazon which I've used in the past for my JK.
https://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B06XZ2BSNQ/ref=oh_aui_detailpage_o02_s00?ie=UTF8&psc=1

I'm planning to use the power and ground wires. There is an inline fuse with the power wire. Is it needed? If not I'll return it.

I plan to use the interior AUX wires for my COBRA 75. I'm going to use the Constant Power - Red/White & the
Ground - Black wires.

Am I missing anything? Is anything incorrect?

Thank you for your input!

Fuses are always a good idea; they're cheap insurance. Where you place them depends on what you're trying to protect. For example, for your radio, you may want to place the fuse near the C75 "brain." I don't own one, but chances are the wiring harness comes this way. For the LED lights, you may be more concerned about protecting your JL's battery from a short in the light or wiring; in that case, place the fuse near where you connect to power. It's a common strategy to select fuse sizes for the capacity of the wiring when fusing near the power source, and fuse sizes for the current draw of the device when fusing near the device. Have a great project!

As a future JL owner, I can't physically verify this for you. But as an over-analyzer who has read a lot about the JL, I believe they are. ;)

@Jeepin_Donnie

Yes, the Aux switches are each fused.... are individually fused. Example, Aux 4 has it's own fuse, etc., etc.

You do want.... should have your own inline fuse in regard to those devices you are wiring up to the aux switches.

In regard to using the Aux switches.. If you hook something up to a aux switch and it seems to not be getting power, your ground is undoubtedly the issue. You must have a very good ground.

There is no ground wire in with the bundle of aux wires..
For a passenger foot well ground here is good:
