Hey guys so I just had the Aux Switch installed by the dealership and I got it home and only Aux 3 button lights up when pressed. The others don't light up. So my question - is this normal? Does something need to be connected or configured in Uconnect Settings spot? Strange that one lights up but the other 3 do not. Any insight would be appreciated. Thanks, Chris

@crothrock2000

All 4 will light up whether you have an accessory attached to the Aux or not.

Even if the JL has not had the flash that turns on Aux, the lights will still light up if the install is aok.

That's right I just went out to my JLR and put the IGN on "RUN" and tried all 4 AUX buttons--nothing

They worked fine two weeks ago and I used AUX#2 FOR MY REAR LIGHTS--WORKED FINE--NOW NOTHING-

I don't know much about the system, or what RELAY provides power to the AUX panel--

Any of you guys done any trouble shooting on this system--do you have any ideas/advice--???

I'd appreciate some fuse/relay numbers--I know F72 is OK-

Thanx

@JIMBOX

In regard to Aux ....PDC has "HD ACCY" you will find relays 1, 2, 3, & 4, including K17, 18, 20 and 21.

Thanx for the quick reply--I've got all that info, but-

I'm not getting ANY POWER TO THE COMPLETE SYSTEM--I think a relay must have BLOWN and I don't know the relays involved with MAIN AUX SWITCH SYSTEM-

Everything else in the jeep operates perfect, all lights acc.--etc--EXCEPT THE AUX PANEL--

@JIMBOX
Was your Aux a factory install or done after you got your JL?

If all four Aux suddenly went out... no Aux button lights, l'd suspect the ground for Aux has been lost. If proper ground is lost, then you would see what you are seeing.

By the way.... Ignition can be off and each Aux button still will light when pushed.

The JLR came with it standard and it worked fine the last time I used the rear lights--

That's good trouble shooting --lost main ground !!

Would you have any idea where the HELL THAT MIGHT BE ??

You think it could be one of those main ground posts next to the battery-??

I don't know how that could have happened, although there are a lot of things like that happen to these new JL's-

Thanx RHINEBECK01-

I watched a "youtube" video on installing the MOPAR aux switch option and-

I noticed a small power module they show --

That's the problem--I gotta take time and find it--

Yeah, I know, I could take it to DEALER(WARRANTY), BUT --I'll try to fix it myself-FIRST !

Go to youtube videos and type in--JL JEEP AUX SWITCH INSTALL--

Good luck

JIMBO
