Does anyone know if the aux switches have any kind of low voltage cut off for outputs configured for battery power?

I accidently left our Dometic fridge running in our last JLUR for a few days. It was turned off when I got back in four or five days later. It seems to have protection. The fridge unfortunately doesn't.

Interesting. Did the engine turn over ok after?

My experience has been that the appliances which draw (e.g. Dometic refrigerator) are the things that tend to have such cutoffs.

That said, product like this https://www.amazon.com/Battery-Protection-Undervoltage-Controller-Under-Voltage/dp/B07H4T3LS7 of the Genesis battery system https://www.genesisoffroad.com/jl-dual-battery-kit can address this too.

Yeah my dometic and a few other high amperage draw items have some cutoff protection built in. I tend to run these things from a separate power source (goal zero in my case) and then just charge that via switched power while the engine is running.

But I have some low draw rock/ scene lighting I’d like to periodically run if I’m setting up camp or doing other work at night without idling the engine the whole time.

Not super worried since it’s low draw. I just don’t want to get stuck somewhere because the battery happened to be on its way out and I left the lights on for 15 mins. In my experience these JL’s can often be pain to jump start and not give a ton of warning if the battery isn’t healthy.

I think you are asking if the switches are unavailable in a low battery state. If that is your question, my experience is yes, the aux switches are unavailable in a low battery state.

When my batteries were going on their way out of commission, I'd start the Jeep and the Aux buttons were unavailable until the battery amperage was high enough.
