Or the IBS sensor is bad. If the vehicle is driven just for a couple miles daily, the battery may not be getting fully charged. If you drive it for an hour or two and if you are still having the problem and the battery will pass the load test, more than likely it may be a bad IBS sensor.This is my understanding. If your battery voltage, prior to starting, is below a certain threshold, the Auxillary switches will be unavailable. Once running the charging system brings the battery voltage above the threshold and the Auxillary switches become available. If this happens consistently it could mean your battery is nearing end of life, it is not being driven often and long enough to be fully charged, or something is draining thd battery with the engine off.
If you have a smart AGM battery charger, charge your battery if you don't want to go for a drive. Just make sure that you connect the ground/negative battery charger cable to the negative battery terminal point before the in-line IBS sensor and not at the actual battery post after the IBS.
