Autostop Eliminator died

Anyone else have their auto stop Eliminator die? Mine is about 6 months old and stopped working.

Someone should be along shortly to tell you why you should have bought the other brand. Just preparing you. I had the same product you have with no issues but switched to a Tazer

Mine gets “forgetful” occasionally and thinks I last asked for ESS to be on but I think it’s more of a CANBUS issue then the actual device. I’ll swap out my terminal strip once it annoys me enough…..

I use a different programmer to keep my ESS off and occasionally it forgets it as well.

It was probably a death ray sent by the EPA to burn it up (sent through UConnect, of course).

Keep us posted...will be curious to see if they just send you a new one under the product warranty.

Have had Autostop Eliminatiors in several vehicles. (Tazer on the Jeep) I just traded my 21 Aviator for a 25. 4 years with no problems. On the 25, is took a different one.

Now have one for 21-24 Aviator if anyone needs one.

This is what TRL Automotive (the manufacturer of the Autostop Eliminator) told me, and it worked on my 2018 Rubicon when my Autostop Eliminator stopped working after 6+ months or so:

"Try resetting the network by disconnecting the negative battery terminal (the black one) for 5 minutes. If you have an auxiliary battery, disconnect that too. It's more likely it's a congested network than a device failure, but let's see."

I use a different programmer to keep my ESS off and occasionally it forgets it as well.

My Tazer "forgot" twice. On the second occasion, I realized I was accidently hitting the ESS button while turning on my seat warmer.
