So I’m getting some miles on the JL and I wanted to check the transmission level. I spent a few minutes looking for the dip stick and could not find it. So off to the owners manual... no dip stick included with the automatic trans. Aaaaah hmmm ok, does everyone know this?

Just ask @cosine he knows!
Probably like the "sealed for life" AT in my Infiniti, it can be done but isn't "user-friendly". There's a sticker on the AT pan stating that a specific Chrysler ATF be used and when doing the fluid change that it has to be at a specific temp. So that sticker alone shows that this AT CAN be serviced :) Temp can be done w/ an Infrared temp gun FWIW (cost about $18 at Harbor Freight)
It appears there's an allen head plug on each side of the AT, not sure which one would be used to fill & verify ATF fluid level (or maybe there's two depending if it's Right or left-hand drive???).

No drain plug at the bottom of pan so this will be a PITA, but should be able to drop & drain the pan, reinstall pan, then fill until the fluid just drips out one of the allen plug holes. Hopefully someone has a FSM for true reference here :)
