Good evening,
I searched on multiple forums, as well as You Tube and have not found a clear answer on how to remove the automatic shift knob and replace it with another one. Has anyone done a swap out and can enlighten me on the process before my new shift handle/Knob shows up? Thanks

Here's a good video to assist.

This thread got me curious. First went to Threedom as I could've sworn they did custom logos (they don't) so just googled for it, and came across this company: https://americanbrotherdesigns.com/jeep-jl-auto-shifter-knob/

This is advertised as being for the automatic, so I found their install video, which is *super* detailed. Specifically, it looks like they replace the squeeze trigger with a mechanism whereby you push down on the knob to allow the shifter to move.

*Note: depending on whether you have kids, dogs, or are careless in your vehicle, this has the potential to be much more dangerous than the squeeze trigger. However, it does look like a nice solution otherwise, and I was pleased to see that the price isn't too bad, either.
