Did anyone ever get a resolution to the auto heat issue?
Still having large temp diff, dealer says its normal. Every thermostat has a on off threshold. Ugh

It works well enough. Dress for the weather and it’s a non issue.

So just an update because somebody asked...

I tested mine again this morning after the software flash. Same problem as before. Ambient temp = 28 degrees, auto climate control set to 72 degrees, actual temperature in the Jeep 59 degrees.

That's a 13 degree spread between what it's set to and what it actually was in the vehicle. I saw this before the software flash also...sometimes it would be as much as a 16 degree spread.

Sigh...

It didn't cost me anything so it was worth a shot.
So to kind of bring this full circle...

Here we are 7 and a half years later and I decided to do the exact same testing (the first testing I did with the JL was on a day with ambient in the 40s. Later I tried it with ambient in the upper 20s) with the exact same digital thermometer on the exact same commute in the exact same ambient temps.

The '18 JLU with ambient temps in the 40s and Auto climate set to 70° produced an actual temp inside the Jeep of about 61° on a 35 minute drive.

The '25 JLU with ambient temps in the upper 40s and Auto climate set to 70° produced an actual temp inside the Jeep of about 64° on a 35 minute drive.

With ambient at 83° and high humidity, the Auto setting on 70° in the '25 produced an actual temp inside the Jeep of about 75°.

It seems to me that the new updated infotainment system and software programming does do a better job. Is it perfect? No. But there is consistency now between cold air and heat actually put into the cabin depending on the weather, and I'm seeing only a roughly 5 degree spread between desired temp and actual temp inside the Jeep now. So it has been improved. Those first JLs that came off the assembly line were terrible.

Of course, any time possible my windows are down and/or doors are off. But I just thought this was interesting to see for those foul weather days.
