My jeep currently has the non Alpine package and looking for suggestions on how to upgrade it without being too pricey. I already have the stinger head unit installed and thought about getting the plug and play sound bar from DS18 and going from there. Any thoughts and suggestions?

Audio Uprising speakers for up front. They're supposed to be coming out with sound bar too, and if their front speakers are anything to go by, I'd say it'll be pretty decent. In the meantime, don't know if the base package has sub, but that'd be a good one to add.

Isn't the DS18 plug-n-play sound bar around $1000? They use bullet tweeters as well and those, to me at least, are just way too harsh. That would likely get loud (amped, not sure about on base radio) but may not sound "good".

We were pretty happy with just replacing the 4x 3.5" with Kicker KS, really cleaned up the mids and highs, but we also have the Alpine system. I have heard nothing but good things about the Audio Uprising front stage and have been following threads for their sound bar upgrade which will hopefully come around this year.

You might be able to get to a, likely initial, happy place with just the AU fronts, or something like the KS, and an under seat 10" sub. If you go that route I know that Trail 7 has some really good kits as well as install videos. Just looking now and you could actually get the under seat Kicker 10 and the full KS (I believe they suggest the CS for unamplified setups typically) upgrade with knee pods, dash, and sound bar speakers for just over $1000.

Other options would include things like the Kicker down firing subs sitting in the back, the DS18 or MBQuart tailgate sub enclosure, or something like the 10" Skar enclosures that can fit between the seat and wheel humps. Those of course would be more involved.
