The high beam and low beam will have to be wired onto separate switches. The high and low are not supposed to be on at the same time. If they are it will over power the light and cause issues down the road with the LEDS.
Best,
Brandon
Placed an order for a pair of LP6. They are on the way.

I did order the Upfitter wiring harness 640167 as well. From the instruction, it includes two rely, so I can wire them:
1. backlight - AUX 3
2.Low beam - AUX 2
3. High beam - AUX 4
And they can be turned on together or individually at same time. Am I right?

Hi,

Thinking about getting your OnX6+ Roof-Mounted Light Bar kit as well as your cowl-mounted A-pillar kit for some Squadron Pros. It looks like these share a mounting location (the two hood-side hinge bolts). I'm guessing the A-pillar mount can go on top of the light bar mount, but is this actually feasible? Would I need longer bolts to accommodate the increased thickness?

Thank you.

Hello,

I'm looking for eye blinding 4" lights to replace my fog lights. What can you recommend for me?

Bumper info: 2 bolt, flat.

Hey @Flip,

Thanks for considering Baja Designs for your lighting solution. A light that I would recommend for your fog light would be our Squadron Pro in our driving combo lens pattern. I will go ahead and link them below so that way you can check them out. If you have any other question shoot me a PM.

Hey @phageghost

After looking at our roof mount bracket It does not allow you to run our A-pillar mount kit at the same time. I found a bracket that will allow you to run a Onx6+ as well as a pair of squadrons. I will go ahead and link the brackets below.

Hey @COKENOGOOD
Turning on High and low at the same time will cause damage to the mother board and would void the lifetime warranty. I would recommend purchasing our LP9/LP6 Series Upfitter Lock-Out Wiring Harness - Universal to avoid any issues.
Best,

Is it true the Lp6 are not recommended for the A Pillars? They are more of a bumper light? Became I'm getting them installed on the A Pillars. Thanks.

Hey @OceanBlueJLU19,
LP6 is not the most ideal light for an A-pillar. LP6 is on the heavy side and will create vibrations while driving. Also, our LP6 has IPT side lights which will cause a glare on the hood as well as some light leakage into the cabin. With the LP6 producing so much light we suggest mounting them up front that way you can get the maximum light output and the most usable light you can get.

With that being said it is not impossible to have them as A-pillars. I would suggest making sure you have a sturdy bracket and that you use some sort of dark vinyl to cover the inside IPT to reduce the glare. If you have any questions please feel free to reach out!

Best,
Bill

Which harness and route do you recommend to tap this into one of the AUX switches?

Hey @ghstlogic,
The harness I would recommend using is our Squadron/S2 2-Pin 10 ft. Extension - Universal and our Squadron/S2/S1 Upfitter Wiring Harness - Universal. This will allow you to run the harness from the rear to the front of the vehicle as well as utilize your AUX switches. If you have any other questions feel free to reach out.

Best,
Bill

@BajaDesigns - quick question on the 64-0167 Harness… I am installing this Upditter harness on my JL with factory Aux Switches. I have read the installation instructions and they state: “To wire the low beam function of the harness, a 10A circuit must be used.” and “For the high beam function, the amperage requirement is less than 1A for the circuit”

In my brain it seems like those number are low for a set of LP6 lights that draw 7.5 amps each when on low beam. Unless, it is because that circuit only trips the relay and the true amperage is carried by the harness. If that is the case, why would there be 2 different amperage requirements when two identical relays are used in the system?

Please put my mind at ease and confirm that I can power this upfitter harness by my factory installed Aux 3 and Aux 4 which are both rated for 15 amps.

Hey Eyeball,

Yes, you are able to wire your upfitter harness to your OEM Aux switches. Since the 64-0167 is connected to the battery. That 1A or less acts as a trigger for the relay. Since this is a lockout harness you want to make sure you not running both functions at the same time.

Best,
Bill

Hi BD,
I placed an order since 6 Oct.
have contacted customer service about my shipping date but there has been no response whether sent from your website or sales email.

I think the bare minimum is to give an acknowledgement on the order status.
If you are unable to fulfil, I may have to find alternative options but the website does not allow me to cancel and get a refund.

my order number ID is 191070.

thank you.
