There is a wide price range for shackles, but most seem to be the same 4.75 ton rating. I would like to get a couple of quality shackles that I don’t have to worry about breaking under load. Any recommendations or brands to avoid?

Do your home work on this one. If you use a snatch block at full pulling you need to have a shackle that can handle double + your pulling power. In number if you have 12 000 LBS winch you need a 24 000 rated + on the other side of the snatch. Yes I know I did not factor any buffer but good D-ring have one build in.

And when I say home work I also include how to use them properly

Crosby or Van Beest for me. Rigging isn't the place to cheap out.

No they are not! Avoid Chinese. Dig a bit deeper. You get what you pay for. For starters:
https://www.mcmaster.com/products/d-rings/screw-pin-chain-shackles-for-lifting/
I deal with Mcmaster a lot and its their policy not to show the brand name of the products they carry. You can call them and they wont tell you. 99% of the you are getting name brand quality stuff, they have a reputation to uphold.

Ebay is another good place to look for Crosby shackles. I work with a lot if rigging equip so it is always on the truck. But there is that occasional oddball shackle needed and you just cant beat the price. Worth the look.

I use Crosby G-209A Alloy Screw Pin Shackles.
The 3/4" G-209A is rated at 14,000 lb WLL.
They can typically be purchased for about $60 each. IMO, you should only purchase from an authorized distributor to avoid cheap knock-offs.
