Apple Maps Sound

How in the world do you turn down the Apple Maps app? I can turn it down while it's giving directions, but it turns itself back up for the next turn.

is the audio increase at speed active?
I only have that feature on at the lowest setting and nav via factory nav or CarPlay stays @ 15 vs regular audio @ 10

Its supposed to stay at whatever volume you set while it's talking. Mine does with both Apple and Stock Nav.

I second that. All other sound sources stay at the level I set them at, but using the Waze app through CarPlay always reverts to 15. Might as well just turn it off and let my wife scream in my ear instead.

It's actually independent from the speaker sound. So when it goes off, just like the speed volume, crank the volume to the desired level before it turns off and next time it will be there (separate from stereo sound). It can only change it when it's active. I believe I heard the from the Jeep Informant guy.
