I heard it’s good and many online post linked to project farms video. it was posted many years ago and saying everstart is manufactured by Johnson control, same or batter quality than other brands.

I bought a new one from Walmart today, and when I got home, I was reading the label. It seems not Johnson control any more, neither made in the USA. I’m skeptical it’s still a Johnson control manufactured product.

Johnson Controls sold their battery division to another company and they got rebranded as "Clarios". Same battery just without the name "Johnson Controls" on it.

This one is made in India. Guess it’s just another overseas factory making things for American brands

I bought one, I believe it was tbeir Gold. I got 3 - 3.5 years out of it. I wasn't impressed but it could have just been a dud.

3-ish years is what you get out of a battery these days. 15+ years ago, you got about 5 years out of a battery.

Modern batteries suck and I don't know what has changed but it's not any good for us consumers. I know optima batteries used to be amazing until they moved production to Mexico. But production location shouldn't affect how long a battery last so there must be more to it.

Squeeze every nickel out of production as corporate America can, build a monopoly (or duopoly) if you are able. It is the norm these days.

That may be. This was about 8-10 years ago. I'm averaging 4 years plus out of advanced auto diehard platinum. I got 5.5 years out of an Energizer battery when they made them, that little pink bunny just kept on going.

The "Diehard" car batteries are made by Clarios who makes the Wally Mart batteries. There are very few companies who actually make an automotive battery these days. When you buy a battery it is marketed by another company than the manufacturer. Even the "legendary" Interstate Batteries are made by another company. It just is what it is, marketing. I'm almost at 4 years on my OEM Jeep battery.

In 2022 I traveled to MI in my Toyota, the battery died. I made it to an advanced auto and purchased a new battery. They were kind enough to install it for me. The guy asked me what year is your car again? I said 2010. He said, I can't believe it, this is the original OEM battery its 12 years old. I couldn't believe it either. I bought it used and never bothered to check it. He gave credit to southern, warmer temperatures.

My 15 GC’s original battery died about a year ago at 8 years. 21 Wrangler’s recently replaced at 3 years. Something wrong with this picture ?
Uh- I haven’t moved.

None... but it pays well.
Recently I updated to a H8 battery. The Platinum tested better than the label. 915 CCA with 100% Health @ 92Ah. For the price and warrenty it's hard to beat for a battery.

I had Saturn Ion, the battery was in the trunk. I dont remember what brand it was but it was 6.5 years old, not too bad. Do batteries last longer in the trunk, less exposure to engine heat. I don't know, some say yes.

My OEM battery crapped out after a mere 2.5 years & I replaced it with one of those. They were easily the cheapest of the local options & with a 4 year replacement warranty it was a no-brainer. Oddly mine has different labels than yours with no country of origin & the CCA is lower. Funny but I threw a 30 year old optima in the back for jumps until I replaced the OEM. BTW I eliminated the aux battery & ESS a year ago.

Coincidentally my second car's battery also failed after 6 years & I replaced it with this brand. They shipped it really fast & seems great so far. Their prices are easily the best, time will tell how good.
