Morning, I have been having a repetitive issue with my steering components.
My drag link joint on passenger side. The grease boot tends to rip. It’s been replaced 4x so far. I’m assuming it wears out from the up down motion the drag link bar does when steering.
it is a Core 4x4 steering set up. The whole suspension is also. In case that is needed.
Reached out to Core 4x4 and they sent me out their new product calling it an “anti-flop” joint. I’m assuming it will keep the joint from moving up and down causing the wear on that rubber boot. It will be delivered this morning at home. I’m driving back home from NC for the holiday to spend with family. I’m down in Whiteville NC building a FIVE BELOW store all summer. I’ll post a picture of that new joint when I get it.
But is this something that wears out a lot normally? Or cheap rubber?
I have read online that there is an anti - flop tie rod joint but can’t find anything for a drag link. I’m attaching my steering in case anyone needs to see the rest of it for questions.
