Retirement is great. Today I will spend the day testing all the bells and whistles to make sure everything works. Hopefully, as Zazoh stated, it may "... have happened at factory and was already fixed...". Thanks for all the suggestions. I'll let you know what I find/didn't find.

Well I tried everything I could think of and everything worked. Was super hard to get int o 4WD especially 4Lo but I did it to test all the connects and disconnects. Everything worked. The indicator on the heated mirrors didn't come on when I turned on the rear defroster but then I found out it was just a symbol not a light. If it has anything to do with airbags - there is no way I'm going to test them :) I'll just keep the wire in my Jeep folder. Thanks for all the suggestions.

Hot Damn! You were correct! Just because the light came on when I pushed the front defroster button doesn't mean it was working. Based on your picture I found where the connectors were and sure enough one is missing! Looks like Jeep will have a defroster wire to replace. Thanks for the picture.

Only with advanced safety group - there's a defroster grid under the part covered by the module behind the rearview mirror.

Woohoo! Too bad about the bad luck in having to have it fixed, but at least the mystery is solved :like:

Finally got around to taking Mo in to have the wire fixed. Was worried that they might have to remove the dash but they didn't. According to the work order they "Loosened windshield frame clamp bolt, retrieved the pinched wire. Stripped the wire, crimped, soldered and shrink wrapped the wire. Reassembled overhead console."

I'm a happy camper again. Thanks again robaw.
