Is nobody else getting sick of these AI generated "news" articles?
This got sent around about 4 different 4xe groups. Since I didn't see it posted here yet, I figured it couldn't hurt. Considering it's a legit recall notice, I didn't think to dig deeper. I don't see the issue you're having?

You can run your VIN here. I think manufacturers have to notify the NHTSA about any recalls, especially safety related?

https://www.nhtsa.gov/
There's been a ton of owners throwing their vin in to check. Not sure if it's up to date or not since no one has specifically stated they are showing due for it. I haven't seen mine pop for it...yet.

Have to keep an eye on the mailbox ? Not sure what the liability to Stellantis would be to not put a safety recall on the NHTSA website before notification to the owners?

Does this recall mean that Stellantis already has a fix to employ? Or not necessarily?

And do they want owners to keep it parked away from structures until such time that a dealer calls them to bring it in? (I don't know how these things go.)

My assumption is based on the text, they’ll start notifying owners when to come in to get it done (like most other recalls). Replacing 32,000 battery packs is a TALL order and I highly doubt that they’ll resort to that based on the mentioning of a ‘software update’ to fix the issue. Could literally be as simple as a half day turn around for most vehicles if that’s the case.

Until I can no $hit verify mine isn’t on the list, I’m gonna avoid charging it on a regular basis. It’s been doing just fine for the last 6 months but I’m not about to risk the 3 other cars in my garage if there’s a chance it could screw them all up. My M3 is damn near irreplaceable and I’d be absolutely furious if it got damaged by this thing going up in a blaze of glory. Beyond that, nothing else changes.

The way they worded this recall makes it seem like you’re potentially driving around in a live bomb with an unknown timed fuse active. Not a good look for Stellantis at all. ?

Thank you, @DewHawk. I'd have posted you a "Like" but didn't want to convey that I like what you are going through.

The article said the fix was a software update and a potential battery pack replacement. I would assume the software update is ready to go and can be deployed quickly. Obviously a battery pack replacement would need replacement packs. Who knows if they have enough to fix everyone right away. You may have to wait for parts.

It is just the recall notice spaced out and slathered with extra words filled in by AI, and covered in ads. Half the information or more on sites like that isn't real. There's no added detail, no additional information, nothing. The recall notice itself is more helpful.

For just about any commuter car, if you try to look up information about it, those are the types of sites you get stuck with. No humans involved, just crazy stuff. Thank God for enthusiast forums.

Estimated 1% of those 32k will require battery replacement.

I would think the ones on dealer's lots get a priority.

I don't have 3 other cars, but I'd be more concerned about what's attached to my garage than what's in it.
I’m not. FD’s response time to my house is 5 minutes and there’s a fire hydrant in my front yard.
