Android Auto over Bluetooth?

Hi everyone, my Bluetooth is working connecting my phone and uconnect, Android Auto works when I plug my phone into a USB port. I thought that once initially connected via USB that it should then work over Bluetooth. Is this true and if so any troubleshooting tips in getting it to work via Bluetooth?

AA doesn't work over BT for us. With our current radios, the only way to connect is via USB cable.

I can confirm that. No wireless way to use AAuto, as of yet. It is my understanding that this is driven by Android and not FCA.

Too much data to be transferred over Bluetooth. Needs USB cable or wireless projection over WiFi.
Not sure if Uconnect 8.4 with WiFi is compatible with AA wireless projection.
