This is frustrating and trying to figure out how to fix it. I have a Galaxy S8 and an 8.4 uconnect radio. I'll have the radio (radio or satellite) on and plug my phone in so I can get android auto up. As soon as I connect it, the radio is muted and the sound is focused on android auto only. If I go to the radio, I can see that I have a station chosen, but it's still muted.
I found that a "fix" is to click the little speaker thing in android auto on the uconnect so you can tell it a command. Say "mute off" and it immediately unmutes the radio and things are fine. If I'm using waze or google maps, it will play over the radio, which is what I want.
Is there a way to have the "mute off" automatically every time I plug my phone in?
