• Do you know if the Long Ranger aux tank will still fit? (exhaust mods expected)

I'm sure other items that might/might not fit will be ARB compressor mounts, SPOD mounts....etc. I don't think there will be enough uptake of the AMW5.7 even if you can order it from Jeep to warrant the R&D by the aftermarket to make their offerings for that engine config.

Now if it was 100% jeep straight from the assembly line, I think the uptake would be higher and thus get more aftermarket support.........but I hope I'm wrong and tons of stuff fits or is made for it. BUT, I also hope I win powerball.

All Pro off rd has a video on his sight of a AMW 392 hemi kit he installed on his 4 dr jl. He managed to use the dual battery system because he needed it for his accessories (fridge etc). Did some moving and shrinking. It’s a good entertaining video and informative.

For those that have done or knowledge of the 5.7 conversion:

Yes, the Long Ranger aux tank can still fit — but you’ll need to modify the exhaust routing.


After the factory catalytic converters, create a custom Y-pipe merge that transitions into a single 3-inch pipe (minimum 2 mm wall thickness) running past the rear differential.


From there, install a single-in/single-out muffler such as MBRP or Corsa made for the Ram 1500 5.7 HEMI.





That layout clears enough room for the Long Ranger tank without heat issues and keeps backpressure and sound levels balanced.





For context, I’m currently working on this same conversion — using the Ram 1500 5.7 HEMI engine and transmission (2020 model) — and verified the fitment physically during mock-up.
