I have a charging setup that I just wired for my Ecoflow River pro with the expansion battery. I’m curious how many amps it’s supposed to be drawing from the battery.

My setup is a 4 gauge positive and ground wire ran from the battery To the back of the jeep. The positive is hooked up to a 200a 4 pin relay. Each wire is ran to a bus bar. From the bus bar 8 gauge wire to a victron 12 to 24v 10a converter. From the converter to my eco flow solar port which is rated up to 25v at 12a, 200 watts max.

my question is how many amps is this supposed to draw from the battery? The converter is set to 24v and the battery pack is saying it’s charging at 200 watts.

If you draw 200w at 24v that give you around 8.5 amp on the 24v side or 17 amp on the 12v side give or take.
Ya, put a clamp on it.

I would also consider if the alternator output is able to support it. The alternator not only chargers the battery, but also powers numerous accessories. You wouldn’t want to drain the battery. 🙂
