Where does it ship from? Who pays return shipping in the event of a problem? My problem with Amazon reviews is they’re typically made soon after purchase and not after a problem arises. Could be penny wise and pound foolish,
Go to their site (weizeus.com) and the H7 is $148 with free shipping.
I looked at them last year and as you mention, not really anyone discussing the return process. They ship their batteries from 2 different warehouses in the US (California and Georgia). My concern if I had a bad battery even assuming shipping was free:
1) You fill out a form on the website for a return authorization. I'd assume that may take a few days.
2) Packing the return. You'd need to keep whatever they used for packing when you received the battery else have fun packing somehow.
3) Assuming UPS shipping, another 3 days minimum in transit once you drop off the battery at a UPS store.
4) How long do they take to verify your battery is bad? This could be one or more days.
5) How many days for them to ship your new battery?
6) Another 3 days or so with UPS shipping.
So my battery goes dead and I'm envisioning a 2 week minimum process to receive an RTA, ship, verify and then ship a new battery. Initial reports make it appear the batteries are decent but I haven't personally had any automotive battery last the warranty period in at least 15+ years. I can't say having a dead Jeep for 2 or 3 weeks is worth saving $30 or $40.
FYI on the US companies making batteries which in my opinion seem to be low quality anymore. US made batteries
Do you want to wait a week or more if you have an issue? Buy local, and if the battery needs to be warrantied, then you’ll be back on the road in an hour or two. Is it worth it to save $40?
