By always, I mean minimum every 1000 miles, max about 2000 miles, these two codes will be simultaneously thrown. Since I bought it new, in 2019, to this very day, it will at some point, throw BOTH codes P0441 and U0010 at the same time.

I seem to be noticing it more frequently, when I add lower 89AKI fuel with some Ethanol in it, versus 91AKI with no Ethanol content in it, but this might be a coincidence(need more time experimenting with fuel, to conclude if this is the case).

Yes, I took it in for a warranty diagnoses back in 2019. Some adjustments were made, nothing really found, both codes came back after a couple thousand. I gave up, never went back, plus the motor ran, and still runs smooth as silk anyways. However, it still bothers me deep down. The pilot inside of me, hates warning lights, even if practically meaningless in the end. Even if it is some weird glitch, I'd like to get to the bottom of it.

I have read many threads on here when only one of those codes are thrown, and what that might mean.

I have never though, come across a thread, where both of these codes, are simultaneously thrown. I suspect that both simultaneously coming on, might mean a different interpretation?

EDIT: FWIW, the device I'm using to scan and clear the codes, is a Superchips Flashcal, that I bought the same day I bought my Jeep in 2019.

I can't speak to your Evap code, but the CANBUS one I think is normal by nature of the security bypass module that comes with the Flashcal being installed. That or using the Flashcal itself is setting off that code. I get the same code anytime I use it.

@Spank

Thank you for that bit of info!

I just edited my post, and included the fact that I'm using the Flashcal.

It didn't cross my mind that it might be the culprit. I'm tempted to disconnect it completely for the next 2000 miles and see what happens. By wiring it back to stock configuration under the dash, that would mean I would lose all of my tire size/speedo configurations right?

I seem to recall it being a REAL PITA, to disconnect the stock harness clip and those wires under there. I'm a bit reluctant to do it, unless I find somebody with baby like fingers, who works well working upside down.

That I'm not sure. I'd reach out to Superchips. Disconnecting it may lose all your configuration settings, but then again, the module may be required for the more advanced stuff and simple things like tire size and gear ratio may not need it after the fact.

I'm probably wrong on this, but I coulda swore on the later JKs you needed the module to tweak the basic stuff, but then you could remove it and it'd be fine.

The U code is completely unrelated to the P0441 code. In fact, the scanner you're using is probably what's throwing that code. Ignore it.

The p0441 is usually a purge valve solenoid issue, but the nipple that it attaches to on the intake manifold has been known to be blocked sometimes. If you've been getting this DTC since new and the solenoid has been replaced go ahead and pull the intake accordion off and shine a light through the nipple to see if you can see it. If you can't it's clogged and is causing the issue

Hmmm, interesting stuff, thx for that ??.

You gave me something to do, during my next alone time with the Jeep.

BTW, no I don't think they ever replaced it. I just remember them saying as they passed over the keys to me, something about "readjusting and cleaning" everything.

How would a brand new engine have its purge valve solenoid get clogged up so quickly though? ?

Def looking forward to check this..

Manufacturing defect. We had some manifolds leave the line with the port not fully opened and solenoids that were just bad. Had a lot of 3.6ls with the solenoid issue.

Picking your brain here. What would be the side effects, of a faulty solenoid in both practice and theory?

The solenoid is used to pull vacuum on the fuel tank for emissions. In practicality there won't be any noticeable faults unless the solenoid was both stuck open and the gas cap was left off. This would cause a vacuum leak in practice, but the length of it wouldn't give many if any symptoms.
