my bet caused by owner who never did an oil change. Avoid. Most services like carfax pretty good at finding vin related stuff like oil changes. One reason I almost, almost, bought a 4000 mile 392, but didn't. Pro tip, never bring spouse to car dealer for test drive.
Learned a long time ago that the girlfriend is more supportive than the wife because they have a more open mind and can share in the vision of what you want and need in life. The girlfriend will also be much more willing to go on adventures instead of sitting at home with some lame excuse....

In addition, if you do bring the wife along, drive it like a baby knowing how it will run if you drive it like you stole it!

I thought I was in the Prius forums and ya'll are here talking about mud flaps. 😵
But the Prius doesnt really have to worry about mud so thats why the flaps dont affect them as much.

I went down the rabbit hole again of looking for a used XR with the SOT. Some great deals out there... Until you check the Carfax. Camshafts and rockers at 13k? Crankshaft seals at 50k? Are these factory defects? Mine has been trouble free in the same time frame. *knocks on wood*
Just a flapping.....

I saw several Prii, and a Tesla stuck near the entrance to Oceana dunes, so they were technically off road. My wife asked, “Where the recovery points?” I said, “Unless we know them I’m not interested in getting blamed for any damage already done if we try to pull them out.” I guess I’m only a kind of good samaritan

Something similar happened to me lately.

Window shopping 392's in another thread. Posted a link and saw it was a "Buyback". No big deal, I guess? Boy, was I wrong. CA brands buyback titles as Lemon, similar to NY, which, BTW- I didn't realize it was basically like having a salvage title until I saw the 2 in the same category when I googled it and then the light went on "OOOOH. Oh. Oh no."

Someone kindly posted the Carfax: 2022 392 XR, 20k mi $50: Bought back at 20k mi for:
Leaking shocks
Gorilla Glass breaking
Noises going over bumps
Steering wheel noisy over bumps
Timing and Valve Cover work

But 6 months before: "Electrical system checked."

Sorry, but not for $50k. Gonna have to be cheaper.
