I'm trying to go light with my 4xe and I am currently looking at adjustable control arms that I can use to dial in my suspension. What are your guys' thoughts on aluminum control arms? I can anodize them, they are lighter than stock, and they won't rust. My only concern would be durability and the potential for some flexing in the arm. I think some of the damage risks can be mitigated by adding skid plates on the lowers, but that won't do much for the actual tube portion of the arm.

Anyway, I'm curious what you all think.

Cheers!

Depends on the alloy of aluminum. I think they would work just fine and I think Savvy Offroad used to make some.

They did, Artec makes a set, Currie has a partial set I believe, and then I also found RPM Steering but they aren't a brand I'm familiar with.

Doetsch Off-road (who is a sponsor here) has an attractive aluminum tierod and draglink kit I'm considering as well.
