Wow, this thread seems to have gotten snarky. Wonder if we can bring it back to a real discussion, please?

I liked the Bronco. Went to a private viewing in Dec 2020 and saw 2 of them. Immediately signed up to get one. Then . . . I found out about the wait. I needed something in 2 months, so I decided not to get one.

Man, am I glad I waited! I still like the interior as much as or more than the Jeep. But, I've now seen 3 in the wild. And I simply am amazed how much they look like every other SUV out there!

Yeah, it's got a tire on the back. So does a RAV4 and 4Runner. But, without the protruding door hinges, lights, etc., it just looks like an SUV. Here's a pic I took the other day. If this was a Jeep, you think it would blend in so well?

So much salt. I actually was going to buy a 2021 two door bronco but then the dealer sold it from underneath me to a higher paying person. I bought a JL and have no regrets. I've always loved a wrangler. Great vehicle. I guess some are die hard jeep people as I got shit on FullSizeBronco for buying a wrangler. I'll enjoy my 1996 Bronco and my 2021 Wrangler equally. Both are different and awesome in different ways.

You do realize you don't need to read my response right?
But I haven't finished my popcorn yet.

But just for you, and in keeping with the 'English' theme, here is a perfect way for you guys to react when you pass a Bronco. Instead of the Jeep wave✌, turn your hand around and give them the "two finger salute".

They'll think you're being friendly, while in fact, you're expressing your deep seeded dislike for their choice of vehicle, and, through their ignorance of the true meaning of the gesture, reinforcing your belief in the unassailable perfection of your opinions. Everybody wins.

That's the best looking Bronco soft top yet!!! In the DOWN position it doesn't look like Helen Keller designed it.
I actually don’t like it. It looks the top to the 1970 vw rabbits. Haha. Looks like crap fold or up. Best soft top is no soft top. I don’t like the jeeps soft top either.

Is that a paraglide? Maybe a baby bonnet? I thought it was supposed to fold down? Local Ford dealer has a 4 door, so I rolled up to check it out. The salesmen were all drooling over my Jeep instead. Asking about the lift, tires, are those real bead locks, etc. So I told them that I was running 38s on a 2" lift. Asked how much tire do you think that a Bronco will fit with a 2" lift? "35s...."

I wonder how many posters on here are like me, someone who had a Bronco reservation but canceled for one reason or another. I see a lot of join dates back in the late summer months, when the Bronco delays were at there height.

I guess it’s why I don’t mind seeing the posts on here. Two fundamentally different vehicles, each with their own pros and cons.

The reality is that not all Jeep peeps off road, and the better on road driving dynamics in the Bronco will appeal to a lot of people. That said, it’s also a capable off-roader with a different look that I hope is around for a while.

I like that there are companies that are pushing their brand to the off-road community. My hope is that it will continue with Toyota and Chevy getting back in the game.

In PA all of the OHV parks require two vehicles to be on the trails. I’m a member of a Jeep club specifically because I am always looking for someone to go out on the trail with me, but that doesn’t always guarantee that I’m available to wheel on their scheduled dates.

More off road vehicles means that I will have more people to wheel with outside of the club which is a good thing. If you bought your Jeep to take to the trails you should be happy every time you see a Bronco in the wild, or see a thread discussing the pros and cons of each vehicle as it will hopefully only encourage people to get out and enjoy the outdoors.

My Big Bend Sasquatch is being built in January of next year. If for some reason I end up hating it then I’ll resell it and buy another Jeep. I’m not married to any one brand of vehicle. I hope Toyota builds another FJ and Chevy brings back a proper Blazer.

It’s going to look like this, but in Cactus grey.
