Sweet! What gears did you get, 4.88?

Threads about how the JL destroys the Bronco everywhere but crawling where it’s even. FTW
OK, I'm sure I'm going to sound like a jerk at this point (maybe even a few posts back)...
Personally I don't care if the Bronco blows rainbows out of it's tail pipe and uses Lucky Charms for fuel or even if it has hundred dollar bills for seat stuffing. You seem bent on convincing us that the Bronco is a formidable foe of the Wrangler in the area of rock crawling. My question is WHY. You ordered a Bronco... good for you... there is an entire forum dedicated to singing your praises... it's just not this forum. #winning

Don’t have anything to add except a local dealer by us has a white on the lot for sale. I thought they were impossible to get so why are they sitting on one? Maybe bought it from a customer or someone ended up not wanting it. White with soft top. No idea which model cause I can’t keep track of them. That soft top. I keep shaking my head every time I see it. Floppy mess.

Because it can.
However if the Bronco wheeled crawled 10 times better than the Jeep you’d still be shouting you won!

Sports are not a Bronco. The sport is like the Jeep Compass. Congrats on the new JL!
Thanks!

I said I've only seen 2 Broncos. If I thought the Sport was really a Bronco I would have said I've seen a bunch of Broncos.

Thought I would throw my 2 cents in. For me, I have nothing against Ford. They are an American car company so I would like to see all US car manufactures succeed. As far as the Bronco is concerned, if you like it, go get you one. Its all good. If I see them on the trails I will talk to whoever is driving it and I will wave when they go by, whatever.

For me it came down to 2 things, and I realize this doesn't fit everyone. 1) For me the the Jeep looks way better, stock or fixed up it just screams Bad Ass, unconventional. When you look at one it's like it is saying "You looking at me" Better stop eyeballing me boy" "I will F you up" An old lady (I am talking late 60's early 70"s) passed me the other day in an older 2 door JK and her rear tire cover had a Tasmanian devil on it with the wording "Bite Me" LOL. That's a Jeep Wrangler and I love it!!!!

The 2) Thing is the Jeeps heritage, serving the US military, etc., etc, etc. And I know for some it doesn't matter but for me it does. And I could go on and on, but please feel free to research the last 80yrs of Jeep history.

The Bronco "For Me" doesn't do any of the above mentioned. I look at a Bronco and you know what I see. Remember the Dodge Neon commercials where the little neon popped on the screen and spun around a couple times and then a little bubble popped up with the caption "Hi" That's what I see when I look at a Bronco. I pass by one, and it looks shameful like it is shying away, or like it is screaming 'don't "look at me " "don't look at me" and the closer you get it screams "DON'T LOOK AT ME" I see it painted purple with 20" spinners, eyelashes, lowered sitting at the mall parking lot. Please, Please Ford do something with that God awful front end headlights and while your at it, do something else with the hood and front quarter panels, it's so blaw. I also don't care if it out four wheel drives a Jeep, my Jeep has so much off road capability stock, and if I want more it is only limited by my wallet.

Again if you like the Bronco, great go get you one, be happy, but not me.

You do realize there is a whole sub-forum on here dedicated to discussing other vehicles, right?

You do realize if you don't want to read a post mentioning Bronco's, you aren't required to?

You do realize that most people on this forum are also interested in wheeling, the outdoors and motor vehicles in general, right?

You do realize that a post mentioning another vehicle for purposes other than bashing it, really isn't as offensive as, say, someone spitting into your mouth? Which is how some of you emotionally stunted gits are acting...

I’d be glad to , believe me, but since people insist on starting a new thread on the bronco instead of posting in one of the 20 already started, it makes it a little harder to do……….

Wow, this thread seems to have gotten snarky. Wonder if we can bring it back to a real discussion, please?

I liked the Bronco. Went to a private viewing in Dec 2020 and saw 2 of them. Immediately signed up to get one. Then . . . I found out about the wait. I needed something in 2 months, so I decided not to get one.

Man, am I glad I waited! I still like the interior as much as or more than the Jeep. But, I've now seen 3 in the wild. And I simply am amazed how much they look like every other SUV out there!

Yeah, it's got a tire on the back. So does a RAV4 and 4Runner. But, without the protruding door hinges, lights, etc., it just looks like an SUV. Here's a pic I took the other day. If this was a Jeep, you think it would blend in so well?

Bruh... keep your kinky mouth spitting fetish on your other forum and keep the insults to USA based. "Git" is a UK based insult and while I can appreciate it, I think it's better suited to say, the Mini Cooper forum. Maybe you could use "douche bag" or "jerk face"?
You do realize you don't need to read my response right?

Wait, wait, wait - I did my post a few posts back wrong. Let me see if I can get this right . . .

OH YEAH, well your mom is so fat that even if I had a 392 Wrangler with 37" mudders on a 5" lift I couldn't get on top of her. Not that anyone would want to anyway. Bleh!!

I see everyone talking about the new Bronco. Honestly all the extra technology is going to have more issues and that 10R50 transmission is garbage. My wife’s 10R50 failed at 6500 miles and she’s 2000 miles into her second and it’s already showing issues. Wife is looking at the 2022 Grand Cherokee.
I just don't get it. I grew up in the 70's and 80's. The Ford Bronco was NEVER a big deal. Jeeps were all the rage, but no-one compared them much to the bronco. The old original Bronco design certainly was no real competition for the CJ and I didn't even know many people that had them. Then, the big Bronco came along in the later 70's and it was nothing more then the F series pickup with a cap. No biggie. Then the Bronco 2 came along and the larger - again, big Bronco, a cap on an F series pickup. Big deal!!. In the 80's Consumer Reports went on about the poor handling along with the Suzuki Samurai. Few people would say, should I get a Bronco 2 or a CJ or Wrangler at that point. It wasn't really cross shopped. So all this craziness surrounding the new Bronco finally "coming back" makes no sense at all, and it's release as we all know has been anything but smooth. So, enough of the Bronco. It wasn't big then and it certainly isn't smooth sailing now. Ford can keep it. However, having ordered a new Mustang Mach e in cyber orange is sure going to be fun to drive when my "wife's order" finally comes in. If it ever does. She thinks it's for her. :)~

Saw my first one in the wild today. The soft top is awful looking.
Saw my first one Saturday on the trails i actually saw it real good because it belongs to a good buddy and i pulled him over 2 hills and dug him out of a couple hi centered spots....needsless to say i like it on the pavement......by the way he got a really good trade in this morning on a diesel Jlu......he actually made some good money on his Bronco so not all is lost lol

I think this Youtube video of the Bronco Raptor is pretty interesting. The factory 37s, the obvious addition in power, the beefed up axles (notice the thick diff covers), the sophisticated shocks, etc.

I hope this provokes a response from Jeep, so my next Wrangler can come from the factory with 37s, beefy axles, and shocks that can better control the tires.

That is all I'm interested in - the Bronco competition pushing Jeep to get off their asses and give us the options we all here want bigger tires, more gearing, better shocks, etc.
