I recently picked up my 2020 Sahara. After I got home, I noticed that my promised BFGoodrich all-terrain KTO said "Bridgestone" on them. Why did Jeep make the bait and switch? Are the Bridgestone tires somewhat better? Has this happened to anyone else?

Thank you.

On Sahara you get the Bridgestone Dueler All-Terrains when you select the Cold Weather Group. It is a VERY decent tire, actually.

To my knowledge, no BFG tires come on Sahara from the factory.

Sahara doesn't come with KO2s, unless you had some sort of deal with the dealer. Duelers A/Ts are not nearly as good as KO2s offroad. But they are good tires.

These are the Dueler ATs you get with the Cold Weather Group.

As already mentioned, it is a pretty good tire, even if they don't look all that sexy.

So why does Jeep use different all-terrain tires on different models? There must be some advantage to putting the Bridgestone on the Sahara. Are they quieter on the street? Do they handle better on the street? Are they better in snow?

Correct. The Bridgestone Dueler provides the more comfortable ride Jeep is aiming to deliver on Sahara, without sacrificing winter and moderate off-road traction.

These tires in particular, have a better winter tread than the regular Sahara tires. That's why they are part of the Cold Weather Group.

They are smaller and cheaper than Rubicon KO2s. They are also more street friendly, as you said, would have an advantage over KO2s regarding noise and MPG. The Sahara has also bigger wheels than sport or rubicon.

Look at it this way.

- Rubicon: off road beast right out of the box.
- Sport: A white canvas, a jeep with no fuzz.
- Sahara: Luxury, road friendly trim that can still hit the trails

Any trim can be modified to fit your needs.

If the wheels are larger, then do the tires have a lower aspect ratio to improve handling?

Factory Wrangler tires are 32 inches. FCA settled on 32 inch tires due to cost, fuel economy and driving characteristics.

Sport and Sahara are limited to a 33 inch tire without a lift. Sahara also comes with 18" wheels to, yes, improve the handling, and convey a more "upscale" look.

BTW, you can fit 33-inch tires on Sahara without modifications.

This is my Sahara with 275/70R18 (33.2 x 10.8 inches) KO2s, on stock wheels and no lift.

It’s a Jeep and meant for upgrades. Sell the Bridgestone and buy some tires you like.

Indeed. Those look like all-seasons!

The Bridgestone Dueler is a pretty capable all-terrain tire, at the very least.

They are all season. The sport S with the LSD package comes with good year all terrain wrangler with kevlar. The goodyears push quite a bit offroad. Very popular tire, comes in a bunch of off road vehicles, such as Tacoma. I was gonna take them off but decided to give them a try. They work really well so I am gonna save some money for a while. around 30k miles or so Ill take them off.
