I'm looking at purchasing one of these for my 2025 JL.

I'd be going with just the front piece since I don't have anyone in the back very often.

Does anyone have any experience w these? I see lots of the Spiderwebs for sale which makes me wonder how good they are.

I have a soft top on all spring and summer so I don't need it for under the hard top.

  • Which one is nicer in terms of material?
  • Which one easier/quicker to install?
  • How is the wind noise?

I do like the fact that the Spiderweb says it's made in the US.

Is there one maybe better than these two that I have overlooked?

Than You!!

I bought the Spiderweb front section 10/23 and later the rear. Good quality, no sagging or fading. I would definitely buy it again. I have not had or seen both brands so I can’t help you there,

I've used both Alien & Spiderwebshade.

I had the 2-piece Alien on a 2019 Wrangler. It was by far the best sunshade I ever used. Easy to install. Good quality material. Didn't fade or rip/crack. And the bungee cords they include with it keep everything super tight. No flapping noises. The only thing I didn't like about it was the way it attached to the front headliner. I ended up just looping it around the windshield bolts instead of using the plastic clips. I do believe they changed that part of the design since I had mine. But the way they install isn't compatible with 2024+ Wranglers because of the side airbags. People do still use them, but it's not recommended. I was hoping they'd come out with an updated version by now.

I have a Spiderwebshade on my 2024. I had the 2-piece at first but there was a lot of flapping and wind noise around the soundbar when the hardtop was off. I swapped it for their one piece. I don't think it looks as nice as the 2-piece, but it got rid of the noises around the soundbar. Their "mini spider nubbins" let you attach the sides of the shades without interfering with the air bags. The material of the shade is very good quality. The rear part of the sunshade does still flap around. Especially on the highway. They include a big piece of Clear 3M tape to put on the top rear of the roll cage so that the rubbing/flapping doesn't scratch your paint. Spiderwebshade is local to me and they've been a vendor at Jeep Beach for the past few years. They have a great team.

I run Spiderweb shades on both out Jeeps, a 2 piece on the wifes JL and a one piece on my Gladiator. Great quality, easy to install, no issues with the airbags. The only part that was a little tricky was getting the windshield to sit/seal correctly with the plastic clips used in the front left and right corners but after a couple of tries found the sweet spot, not really a big deal. they have stayed nice and tight, provide great shade. They flap some at highway speed and with doors/top down or off but its not that bad and to be expected IMO.

Last I checked Alien did not make one for the 24+ side curtain airbag setup, which is why I purchased SpiderWebShade bikini front sections with their new 24+ bobbin mount setup for both our Wrangler and Gladiator from Amazon. Love them. They work great.

I had Alien on my 2020 JT, but like everyone else noticed they don’t make one for the 24+ models.

I'm a big fan of JTops USA's product. I have one on each of our JLURs. These are "set it and forget it" meaning once installed you don't have to remove it to use the hard top. Mine has been on my 2019 since 2019 :).

I ran a Spiderwebshade on my Gladiator for a couple years until I traded it off. Good quality, durable, looked great. I would buy again, but my dog loves to stick his head out the open roof like Dino.

I had alien first did not like all the bungee balls and I had the two piece. Spiderweb finally came out the two piece for the 2018 JL and that's what I went to spider web. The two piece to me looks better You don't have the hump on top where it goes over the top of the sound bar and the two-piece just looks a whole lot better in my opinion. It doesn't flap or make any noises on the two piece at least not for me It doesn't. Look at the pictures of spider webs two piece and you'll see how much nicer it looks alien I had a big gap up by the sun visors could never get it to be evenly all the way around where it didn't have a lot of sun coming through. Just no bungee balls is enough for me The design is spider web has is so much cleaner looking I would definitely try spider web first you'll really like it a lot better like I said I had both and the two-piece by the web is a way to go in my opinion. In my opinion look how clean that looks
