Anyone have a good bead on where I can obtain one for my 2018 JLUR at a reasonable price? Local dealer wants to charge me 35 bucks for a 12 dollar item. I checked both Walmart, and AutoZone and neither are stocking/carrying the new JL filters.

The only other brand I've seen is Purolator the PurolatorOne PN A21421: (same as OEM filter)

I think I ordered my cabin filter (part # 68301863AA) from amazon and the air filter (part # 68257030AA) from Quadretec.

I replaced both of them just under 16k miles. The manual I believe says to change the cabin filter at 20k and the air filter at 30k.

The cabin filter was disgusting and I'll probably change that every 10k miles. The engine air filter looked great and I almost put it back in but changed it out anyways. I'll probably continue to check it but won't change it going forward for 20-30k miles.

Why dont u get a reusable dry air filter? Pays itself off after 3 changes maybe 4 accounting for the cleaning kits. Sometimes AFE has a 20% (?) Off code that makes it around $45 if I'm not mistaken.

I havent been able to find cabin filters at any auto shop just online from quadratec and Northridge. I still haven't changed it thou

Is that cabin air filter specific to the turbo?

Nvm. Looked it up on their website. Seems like the cabin air filter is the same. The 2018 3.6 model is incorrect.

Correct the cabin filter is the same despite engine (probably the same for the JT's too) but the engine air filter is different for different motors.

3.6 air filter on Quadratec: https://www.quadratec.com/p/mopar/air-filter-3.6l-jeep-wrangler-jl-68257030aa

Just ask @cosine he knows!
Interesting, on the listings for the 2019s it only lists this WIX filter, and this isn't on the list for any 2018s
https://www.rockauto.com/en/catalog/jeep,2019,wrangler,3.6l+v6,3443725,fuel+&+air,air+filter,6192

In the 2018 list it has two mopar filters, one for ESS and the other doesn't list specifics.

Comparing the 2018 WIX vs the 2019 version it looks like the 2019 filter is about an inch thicker, 1/2" longer, and narrower by about 1.2". Must assume the 2018 version is for those lucky enough NOT to have ESS :)

At least WIX makes quality filters, so if there's only one choice it's still fine :)

I think since thereā€™s still a 2018 JK thereā€™s confusion with the part numbers and compatibility. Went to advance auto last week and their product offerings for the 2018 JLs were incorrect. If you do a quick check behind your glove box youā€™ll see itā€™s the one piece most vendors list for the 2019s.
