Hello, I have a voswitch JL300 aux switch panel for a few years I use for all my lights and power to the rear but I want to hard wire a 12v air compressor that draws 90amp and the relays on the switch panel are 40amp.

I know there’s a way to “trigger power” to the air compressor and wire it directly to the battery but I’m having a hard time finding exactly how to achieve this.

the air compressor will only have a 12v + and - lead and no switch so how would I wire this correctly so the power comes straight from the battery but I can enable it from the aux switch.

Look at the Warn winch disconnect solenoid and wire the large positive cable through it and use the aux small cable to engage it. I have two of those in my setup...one for the winch on one aux and the other for the compressor using a quick disconnect on the bumper. Only the small wire Amp goes through the aux port, not the full positive Amp.

Wire the compressor to the battery terminals, including a fuse on the positive wire (within several inches of the positive battery terminal) and a continuous duty 100A 12V relay. Switch the relay with the Voswitch.

thank you, i was overthinking it i think. Figured there was an easier way but mounting a relay seems like the easiest way to go about doing this.

Thanks!
