I came across an after market tpms . It has like 6 screw caps ( 1 for each wheel and 2 more for a trailer. I couldn’t determine how low of pressure it would monitor. I ask because I run my tires below 25psi on the street having the tpms light on all the time irrated me. So I shut it off with a tazer. I was measuring old school which is a pain. My thoughts are if the system measures low enough it might be worth it. You can see several examples on both Amazon and instagram.
Anyone have any experience with this type of system? Any recommendations?

What's wrong with the stock TPMS? It's fairly accurate down to single digits. Just the light on the dash?
Yes that is it those light bother me I am always looking at them

I dunno, I personally like that light to remind me that I'm aired down.
When I'm on the trail for a few days, being aired down starts to feel normal. That light reminds me that it's not normal and I need to make it go away before I hit a highway.

He's apparently "aired down" all the time. That seems a bit bizarre, right?

In his defense, he's in a CA beach town. He might never get off the beach unless to go 2 blocks at 25 MPH to get to the gas station.

Of course that's short trip salt water hell. Poor Jeep.

@wanderer, I hate to ask, but why are you running with such low pressure all the time? Handling, braking, acceleration, longevity, etc. all suffer from running so low. Are these special tires or something?

simple answer Ride quality
added a metal cloak game changer 2.5 lift with black adjustable shocks the original installer screwed it up and i had to get it redone. still way too stiff
So i switched out the springs to synergy. still way too rough. then switched from the black shocks to fox accutune. which are acceptable on road at low tire pressures
still looking for a good alternative

I can run 23-24 without the light coming on. I have my threshold set at 28psi. i normally run 26psi per Mickey T's tech recommendation. so in Montana when it gets sub zero psi can drop to 23-24psi. with the procal threshold set to 28psi it doesn't kick the warning light on at those pressures.

there are no beaches to drive on in the part of California he claims to be in unless it's the Lifeguard J**p.
