2018 3.6 auto JLUR. 4.10 gears and 37s. AFE Mach Force axle back trash can replacement. 20 minute install. The Jury is still out. It's a little loud when I step on it, otherwise I can barely hear it. I do notice that the Jeep seems to shift earlier, and holds a higher gear better. I see 8th gear more often, which boosted the dash mpg average a couple.
Last trip to the dunes l was followed all day by my buddy in his blown 327ci CJ. I didn't hear my JL all day. I had to do something! ?

I put THIS on both the wife's and my Jeep and love the sound (for a V6 anyway). Really sounds nice with manual trans. Caught it on sale pretty cheap last year.

I may end up going that route if this delete gets too annoying.

Update. Too loud when accelerating for this old man. I tried. ☹ Putting a muffler back on. Not the stock one with the flattened pipe. Either the AFE or Injen high tuck. ?

:CWL: yep, how long did you last. I made it about 2 weeks before putting the stocker back on my old sport. On my rubi I have been rocking the AFE for 2 years and reall like it.

I had drone issues with those bolt-on mufflers. Finally went to a local muffler shop and they put on a performance muffler which allowed for sound but not overbearing. Still had some drone so I turned around and went back. They installed a straight glasspack as a resonator which totally eliminated the droning. They did all this for $200+ which was a fractional cost of those bolt-on systems.

Just put my aFe high tuck Mach Force (muffler delete). And am really digging the sound!!
I have a manual 2 door Sport, so it really has a nice rumble when decelerating and nice deep baritone idle tone.
i was afraid it'd be too loud but the stock cat and resonator do a good job of keeping it tame when cruising, cold starting and pulling out for work out the driveway at 530am.
I can control the loudness with my right foot., so it's very livable!!
My buddy helped me put it on and when I test drove it I couldn't stop smiling and high fiving him. ??

Not sure what the jury is saying, but for a V6 it's not bad at all, so it gets my vote.
I researched a lot of YouTube videos so I had an idea of what it was going to be, but it sounds a lot better in person!!

I went to a local muffler shop too. I just wanted better clearance. He welded it all up, then slipped various cans on so I could hear the difference. I picked one that was quiet. For me, there's no way to make a six sound good, and it wasn't going to make a significant difference in power, so quiet made sense.

I couldn't take the AFE muffler delete any longer! Swapped it out with the AFE high tuck muffler you linked. 1000X better. It doesn't sound like the neighbors kids slammed Honda car with a fart tube anymore!
