Anybody have any info on adding an entire new top that has the Sky One Touch post purchase? I know there is an old thread that has a couple of owners who have pieced together parts and retro fitted, but not a whole lot of info as of late. I currently have a soft top and hard top on my 2018 JLUR. I'd like to add an entire new top that has the Sky One Touch, but the parts guy at my local dealer isn't much help. Any ideas?

That is exactly what I would like to do...simply buy an entire new top with Sky One Touch, but the parts guys say it would be more trouble than it's worth.

I'm inclined to think it would be more time and possibly money than it's worth. I have seen those other posts with people apparently doing it by frankensteining pieces together, and it would be quite the accomplishment to put on your resume, but just make sure you're up to the task before starting it.

100% agree with you! That's why I called parts dept at local Jeep dealer. He said it's not worth it, but what happens if I owned a Sky One Touch, was in a wreck and it had to be replaced?

Sounds like a big job; I can image electrical work, possible welding, painting. Getting a whole new Jeep Rubi with Sky One be easier and more reliable; it's possible to find used ones. Also would be concerned about possible warranty voids given the electrical work and possible welding. Don't know if there are any safety issues as well; how does the Sky One interact with the safety sensors, is it different open vs closed when it comes to crash sensors.
