Thanks for mentioning this. Since 2018 no one has posted they had the bundle and did not have factory Aux switches, regardless of the model year JL. I will place this info in my data bank.

Wonder whether the bundles were at all usable before you did the Aux kit install? Hmmmm...
the footwell wires, one or 2 of them were hot, as i recall... that was about 9 months ago when i did the install, which took me about 2 hours

Interesting. My Christmas gifts to the family this year included dash cams. I installed mine using the hardwire kit to take advantage of parking mode. My JL has the auxiliary switches, so no problem. My daughter’s JL, also a 2018 model, does not. I took a quick glance tonight, no wiring bundle was visible. I’ll take a closer look tomorrow when we tackle the install. If not, looks like I’m running wire and going the fuse tap route.

Iā€˜ll report back later…

Hmmm try this when you can. Remove the passanger door check/strap cover. Just pulls out gently. Remove the door wirin plug. Then there is another large cover gently pull back. White clips might fall off. But you can put it back There should be a set of wires with shrink wrapped tops. 2 thick ones 2 thin ones. Those are hot wires.

Yeah, I had no issue finding it in mine, which has the aux switches. my daughterā€˜s 2018 Sahara, which doesn’t have them, also does not have the wires there. I wonder if there was a change in the factory process in later model years…

At this point you are most likely correct

So I’ve got a 2024 Wrangler JL Willys, I do not have the switch controller in the dash however when I check my engine bay and passenger floor foot well, I have the four wires present and wrapped up in a wiring loom. I also have the proper fuse in the fuse block in the engine compartment.
does this mean I just buy the switch assembly and install it in my dash, flash and I should be good working?

I wonder if you have the connector for the switch assembly in the dash harness?
