next time park and have look under the jeep if you have the typical pool of water forming, if not your drain is probably clog.
Alternately your AC gaz level is low or the air input is reduced AKA cabin filter.

I had this problem about a month ago going down to Florida. A piece of ice flew out of the air vent. I just put it on recycle cabin air and it worked after about 20 min. It is kind of annoying when it’s so hot and you wife is sweating. Any easy solutions or should I take it to a dealer?

I realize this thread is 5 years old, but just wondering if the problem was solved?? I do have a significant background in auto mechanics and I have just experienced the exact same problem in my 2017 Grand Cherokee. Like your symptoms, after driving for an hour during temps over 80, my a/c flow is reduced. All the vent settings still work, the fan works and the recirc works. The cabin filter is also new. My experience tells me that something is blocked. Like Sydwaiz suggested, it seems like a frozen evaporator, since after 1 hour or so, everything works fine. Usually a frozen evaporator is from low freon. I haven't put my gauges on it yet.

It could be that the system is low on freon, and is freezing up. I've had this happen. I eventually converted over from the 1234yf freon to the older 134a, and have had zero Issues.
