Ive been having some random issues with my setup. I was wondering if anyone else has experienced this issue.

Before I get into things, here is my setup.

8.4" Uconnect screen that replaced a 7"
PAC Audio Ampro Version 2
JL Audio XD600x6
Alpine Type S components (Front)
Alpine Type S components (sound bar)
SSV Works 6.5" sound bar adapters
Metra 6.5" Kick Panel pods
JL Audio 10" 10W3 subwoofer in a ported box.

Overall, and most of the time this system sounds incredible. Easily the nicest sounding system I have ever had in any vehicle I've owned. But I started to have issues with the sound that came out of the radio. There was no music from any source, but the chimes worked just fine, the bluetooth worked for having a phone conversation, but not for music, and the navigation sounds work as well.

I had the JL tazer mini plugged in, and figured out that when I rebooted the BCM, the radio would reboot, and start to work again as normal. So thinking that this was possibly related to the Heigh10 issues (PAC modules) with the Tazer, I removed it. Seemed to work with no issue until a couple days later it happened again. This time I didnt have the Tazer plugged in which made resetting the radio more difficult.

I had the Stinger Heigh10 installed, and did not like the quality of the screen, or the functionality. I love the 8.4 Uconnect, and when everything is working good. It sounds amazing.

Im kind of thinking this has something to do with my JLUS not coming with the alpine system, then installing the 8.4, and then the PAC module emulating it to get a clean signal for my amp.

Any help will be appreciated. Thanks in advance!

I had a similar issue with my old YJ that had a custom sound system. If I remember right, the amp was being overloaded and during summer months it would heat up and go into safe mode and would not turn back on until everything was reset. Maybe check the unit for how hot it is getting or turn down the settings some?

Thanks for the reply man. I did check that, and The amp is working. Thats how the chimes and bluetooth conversations come through. It seems like its in the can bus.

Did you try the trick of switching to AM radio and back again when the sound goes off? That's been a persistent bug for me as long as I've had the JL. I have a PAC amp pro with JL Audio amps too but it's not related to that, it's just a bug in the 8.4 that happens occasionally. It used to happen for me with the built-in Alpine amp too before I bypassed it so the issue is likely in the 8.4 head unit.

Gents, thanks for the help. It ended up being the PAC audio interface itself. Crutchfield is shipping out a new one.
