8.4 uconnect repaired?

has anyone used this company to repair your 8.4 radio?
would you recommend them?
did they fix it?
how long did it take?
1st off my Jlur is out of warranty. The Navigation has not worked it quite some time. It shows me in Northern Illinois and I live in central Illinois. The radio freezes up some times and I get the blue screen one in a while.
I do have a appointment with the dealer later this month but I will have to pay at least $150. To see if they can update and find out what’s wrong. I have 0 faith they will fix it.

Yes.

Before you contact them, do a search on here for UConnect update and try updating the radio yourself. The latest version is 39.6.

Freezing and blue screen will be resolved with software update to version 39.6....if fixed mine. Also fixed parasitic voltage draw .
It is free if you do it yourself.

Nav issues is most likely bad nav board.

I still have issues with bav sometime fresing and no Satellite radio.

I have tried to do a update myself onto a flash drive. After taking probably 1.5 hours to download when I went to install the update I got ”not compatible “

Make sure you have the minimum software/application version required for the 39.6 update.

I have not used them but I have used www.unitedradio.com to repair our Mazda CX9 system. They were quick and reasonable.
