8.4 screen black unless Radio on

I don’t know if I inadvertently changed a setting or something but my 8.4 screen is black unless the radio is on. So my only choice If I don’t want the radio on is to turn the volume all the way down and then everything else is visible.

Is this how it is supposed to work. Or what setting do I need to change. I don’t believe it always operate in this way

I believe that’s how mine functions. You can push the mute button as well.

As noted above, I just push the mute tab.

I use the mute button as well. But I actually turn the screen off when the radio is on most of the time. I find the screen distracting sometimes. It only took me 6 months to realize there was a 'screen off' button
