Im looking at some wheels for my 2026 JL sport that are 8" +30 5.7" back spacing with 285 70 17's.
By my math they should sit about 1/2" out further than the stock wheels. Correct?
Or should I start using a calculator again...

Also, I'm thinking if I move up to 35's I will have to get different wheels to go with them, correct?
(Dont want spacers)

Positive offset pushes your rim inside of the fender well. Negative offset pushes your rim to the outside. you should try something with a 0mm offset.

The jeep can accept 315/70/17 on your stock wheels. But since you want a more beefy look defiantly look into aftermarket wheels.

25.4mm =1 inch. So your math is close. Stock wheels are +44, so 15mm difference. Closer to 9/16" of an inch, more closely 19/32"

Looks like the wheels are good to go with my oem 245, 285 and 315 sizes.
Figure I'll go with the 285's until I do the lift and source axles with better ratios.
(Currently 3.45's)
