6spd Manual Rattle / Grind

My JLUR does the same thing if I am accelerating quickly and accidentally give it a little to much gas while releasing the clutch. Never had a manual do that before but like others have said, I can avoid it 99% of the time by watching my right foot.

On a side note is anyone else Jeep super jerky in 1st and 2nd gear when cold? Like riding a horse bareback through rock quarry jerky? Mine only does this when the car isnt fully up to temp

Yes, mine is jerky when cold. That’s because the automatic choke within the fuel injection system is causing an increase in the idle rpm. It only lasts about a mile when it calms down to its lower standard idle.
