Jeeps lots of jeeps
They tend to be very noisy and cause the jeep to be blown around a lot on the highway. Fair warning.

That being said, you can find Chinese branded ones on Ebay. They work fine and are about $200 for the set up.

I would go with Rough Country. All of my lights are from them and I have no complaints.

I've bought them from thejeephut.com as they are shipped directly from Rough Country but with 5% off and no tax.

https://www.roughcountry.com/lighting-and-accessories/lights.html?light_size=387

Find the light you like then search the SKU on thejeephut.com

Disclaimer: I am in no way affiliated with thejeephut.com, just that I found their prices and lack of tax to be one of the better deals online.

I also recommend Rough Country their LED's also have 3-5 year warranty and you know if they fail that you have a domestic retailed to service the warranty.

I own a LED company and frankly KC, Baja and Quake are all way over priced and since light bars are not street legal and most people will use them rarely do not over spend.

The main issue with the lower cost LED bars is they are not very water tight. I made sure to either take mine apart and add sealer or caulk the perimeter of the lens.

Do not be sucked into the name brand hype however make sure you buy from an warranty accountable seller.

Lightsout and Carlton make good points. A bar on top of the windshield is gonna be very noisy. Jeep spent a lot of time carefully balancing the traditional Jeep lines vs rounding the corners to reduce drag/wind noise. A light bar at the top of the windshield is a hell of a draggy/noisy thing. I would guess it's a notable decrease in MPG at 75 mph.

As for brand name stuff, I'm a sucker. But I see the point. An inexpensive lightbar will work for most people.

The custom shop at my Jeep dealership puts on Rough Country lightbars on their floor display Jeeps, they look really freaking nice. That's what I would buy since I'm not an avid offroader but wanted the look.

I stayed away from the top windshield light bar for the noise issue, I installed a 30" between the Hood hinges (rough country) and Cubes (with side lights) on the side that I can aim to the side since most light bars have a narrow beam, that is more than enough light for anyone with a better light distribution compared to a single bar. Plus I have a 17" bar on the Bull-bar on the bumper. When they are on you cannot even look at the jeep due to the glare,

Frankly while the added light will be used (very rarely though) let face it light bars and cubes are more Aesthetic than functional since you cannot use it on the road. then how often do you wheel at night.

This set up with the two bars and cubes there is NO wind noise that can be heard.

I'm bit more traditional and like the big round lights. I have a similar bumper bar to Lightsout's where I may put a couple 6" round KC Hilites with those yellow covers. :)

I like the rounds also. This is probably a non issue however I preferred to keep the lights to a small footprint in front of the grill to help keep good airflow to the cooling system however I see many use the larger round lights I would assume without issue.

I use a 50" Rigid Industries Radiance light bar. I have never heard it whistle at any speed which is weird, because the one I had on my JK made noise. But I haven't driven my JL with the roof on since I installed the light. That might make a difference because it doesnt make any noise with the roof off.

I like your set-up. Where did you get the 17" bar? I am looking for that size for my bull bar but it's hard to find. Most are either 14 or 20 inch.

Actually it was 16", even though it says IP68 I re-sealed the lens with clear caulk as well I ran a bead in the end seams just for added water protection. Again that is the #1 problem with most of these no-name LED bars

https://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B0789CGTHZ/ref=ppx_yo_dt_b_asin_title_o04_s00?ie=UTF8&psc=1

reviews are OK except for condensation which is an LED killer, which is why I resealed. This is something that needs to be done on all these LED cubes and bars, frankly that is the main thing that sets them apart from many of the higher end LED's.

i also chose this bar as it has bot spot and flood optics. At $40 if it fails no big deal I can change it out in minutes, however seeing that I will use it maybe a couple times per year i do expect it to last a couple years assuming it stays sealed. Unfortunately not a lot of choices in this size.

However if it does fail and I need to replace I will likely replace it with dual 6" cubes/bars as I can aim them out a bit for a wide beam like these https://www.roughcountry.com/6in-led-light-bars-70706bl.html (rough country has a great warranty and support for their branded LED's I have their 30" on my hood which I an very happy with)

We do not offer brackets yet, but we have some nice 50" bars at great prices.

Check out our Pro Series II 50" LED bar here

And our extremely popular Prismatic Series 50" RGB bar here

We will also be having a great special this weekend for Memorial day, so PM me if you want details.
