I ordered an unlimited Altitude in sarge green on 6/6 equipped with 8.4/Alpine, 2.0/auto, cold weather group.

I was told last Friday it is D1 with expected arrival to dealership by month end.

I spent over 15 years in the car business and ordered from a good friend who runs a store. He was telling me that Jeep had many Wranglers either fully or mostly built, and when your order comes in if they had the right color and powertrain combo already done they just modify it with what the client wanted in options. So in effect you aren't ordering and having them build a whole vehicle 2 days later. They are grabbing one that is already complete, sending you the VIN and then adding the features to it that you wanted. This is speeding the process along as Jeep has committed to dealers to get their clients into Wranglers for Summer.

As posted previously I ordered a 2020 S Altitude in sarge green with 2.0, cold weather package, premium audio package. Ordered 6/6 (a Friday), was marked as "shipped" yesterday 6/24. Dealer expects it by 7/10.

Finally one step closer. Jeep Chat told me today that they've got all the parts , and waiting to get put into the build process. I'll take it!!!

7/12 arrived at dealer, picked up

Specs:

• Bright white clear coat
• Sky 1-Touch Roof
• 850RE 8-speed auto transmission
• 3.6L E-Torque V6
• Cold weather group
• Safety group
• 2.72:1 Selec-Trac AWD
• Anti-spin differential rear axle
• Remote proximity keyless entry (mandatory on build??)
• Leather trimmed seats w/ Sahara logo
• All terrain tires (Goodyear with Kevlar belts)

Nice drive home, steering was noticeably vague and the tires were found inflated to 41psig. Dropped to 38psig as they were warm, and it improved. This morning I set them to 36psig cold per the door sticker and I'll be driving it to work.

I had an '80 CJ5 in college decades ago, this new one reminds me of it in some ways...but it's a huge improvement in every aspect.

That's awesome!! I finally moved to D1 status (has all the materials - waiting to be built) back in late June, but seem to be stuck there. Going on day 45 and still hasn't hit the factory floor yet. Ughh. Haha.

Let me know how you like the Sky 1-Touch. I ordered that as well.

Ordered my Wife's JLR 05/26, and according to Jeep chat this morning, they are still collecting parts.

Well, got window sticker and build sheet on July 12th, and Jeep arrived at Dealership yesterday the 21st. 8 weeks.

Nice!!! I just checked in with Jeep Chat, and got an estimated ship date of 7/24 - 8/2!!! Will be between 8 & 9 weeks if those dates hold.

58 Days from putting in the order, and she's home!! Unfortunately I wasn't able to get to the dealership to pick up the Jeep until late afternoon today, which meant that by the time all the paperwork was done, it was just about dark. I'll posting more pics in other threads (e.g. Sarge Green).

Overall pretty happy with the process. 58 days isn't the shortest, but isn't the longest either. I used tread lightly to get the 1% below invoice price, which turned out to be about a $2100 discount. I know others have gotten a lot more off, but for not having to haggle with the sales people, I was happy with it. I feel like I could have gotten a little more for my trade-in (2014 Ram 1500), but it was within the range we agreed upon at the time of ordering, and my decision to go ahead and put in the order was based on the lowest number in their offer...so anything above that would have just been a nice surprise.

For anyone that's still waiting, godspeed, I know its brutal!!
