I just looked for the window sticker to remember the specifics. But the 21 4xe had better gears, cv deletes, with the rubicon front axle to reinforce the extra torque. She was a beast and after full steering upgrade(metal cloak), adjustable controlarms(8) rear trackbar with relocation, bilstien 5100 shocks, and the aev dual rate diesel springs 475 ftlb torque would still push her to 100mph and felt planted like a hummwv. Plus at 5 mph could do this

Thanks to the wonderful people we have met in the Jeep community we did a full rebuild in under 6 weeks for the Jeep jamboree. And a 24 4xe Willy’s performed the same with blood sweat and tears

Almost forgot, u asked about mileage, the 24 miles of electric was still about the same. 80 on the highway is 12mpg, around town 18ish. Buy the 4xe for the 475 torque and reinforcements not the mileage, this is a brick
I know that rock, buddy was one of the first to drive over it in his Sammi powered by a habussa 😁

Going for dickie bell BOH in a couple months...we have the group site booked.

Amazing how much URE has changed in 25 years. I will try for same picture

When you say "21 4xe had better gears, cv deletes, with the rubicon front axle to reinforce the extra torque." Do you mean factory changes from regular wrangler to 4xe or "better gears", "cv deletes", "rubcon axles" something you've upgraded and replaced with the 4xe parts it came??

For ‘21 the base gears were 3.21 or 3.45. Also the front axle was a d30. The 4xe got the d44 front and rear with 3.73, the upgraded 4wd with 4h auto and part time…factory did a lot of things to ensure the torque didn’t break stuff and didn’t publicize it

I wonder how they feel us dropping 37, 40s on.

i guess I will be okay with 37s with 3.73 gears for a year or so till I regear. Probably just see some loss in MPGs and electric range like 15-18 miles on gas and 20 miles electric.. Thoughts?

They made the tire openings to fit 37, just need to get rid of the plastic and lift to offset the height. 35 if u don’t want to do arms, both track bars, steering and fender liners. But you see the extra fun with 37

Didn’t your Rubi come with the 400 front axle and the 44 rear? Plus 4.10s.

‘21 Sahara was base 4xe, but had many of the Rubi parts. 24 Willy’s got the full float etc, point I was making is because of the 4xe it came with a lot of the things that people were upgrading in gas vehicles to the Rubi for. And 37 worked well on both
