Can someone tell me what their thoughts on this lease deal

I have a current deal for a Willy's
Msrp 58915
Discount 1626
Rebates 14500
Money factor .00166
Residue 33581
Payment 493 a month 36/10k

I had another dealer give me like 4K off but it turns out they were just playing with money factor. I feel like I can get another 1k off since dealer holdback is 3%
Thoughts?

Is that a typo on the rebate?

Hmm, I didn’t see any big May incentives. Am I missing something?

I think it's location specific. Check out the numbers in the Edmunds lease reporting thread, they're big! Here's a snip:
Jeep Wrangler JL 4xe lease and residual 1683389311056

Note, this is 4xe, didn't realize what category OP put it in.

Further down in thread, there is a rebate breakout. Looks like this is Northeast specific:
Jeep Wrangler JL 4xe lease and residual 1683389608433

Leasing is just a financing mechanism and, generally speaking, it’s not a great way to get into a vehicle unless a business is making the lease payment. It also limits the mods you can do without adversely affecting your deal. (The residual they quote is dependent of the vehicle condition at turn in. You can do whatever you want if you’re going to exercise your right to purchase at lease end — but if you plan to buy it you’re better off just buying at the outset.)

The residual value looks decent, but other numbers are wonky. The “discount” isn’t great — you can do a multiple of that through forum-supporting dealers here.

There are no $14,000 or $15,000 “rebates”. Is the dealer crediting you with the $7,500 tax credit, adding additional discount, and screwing with the money factor?

Also, does the dealer charge a bunch of other undisclosed, made-up fees, like “doc fees”, “flooring charges”, “undercoating, glass-etching, mandatory theft deterrence devices”, or other BS? The only legitimate additional fees are the DMV fees and sales tax (if your state has that). Doc fees were invented about 25 years ago, and they’re almost universal now, but the DMV paperwork processing takes a dealership clerk about 10 to 15 minutes per transaction, and few of them are paid more than $30 per hour, so there’s no excuse for charging more than $10 — and, really, no excuse for even that, as the clerks are part of the dealership overhead, like janitorial staff, electricity, etc. I’ve seen doc fees as high as $400 — complete bullshit — and other imaginative and valueless add-ons totaling $2,000 or more.

Also I found when other place give a bigger discount they Jack up the money factor. This is the lowest money factor.

I pay 500 a month for 36 months & 10k. I put no money down. MSRP was 61000.00. Your deal sounds good. I leased this as a 3rd car for the weekends. My other cars are a minivan and old explorer.

Why would they give you the holdback on the single most popular Wrangler? Do you really want to pay $17,748 to rent some thing for 3 years that you are only allowed to drive 10k miles a year? The return on buying a Wrangler beats a lease these days. In other words, if you bought it, drove it for on 30k miles in 3 years then wanted to sell it, you would loose less. If you aren't getting the $7500 subsidy, then forget it though, used values take that into account on all 4Xes.

Right now I'd say that a 4Xe is neither a good lease or buy, unless you qualify for the subsidy. In my opinion, a lease only has value if you can write the part of cost off for business purposes. But they are popular for those who shop by payment only or who want a fresh vehicle on a regular basis.

The lease has value if I buy it out immediately. I just found out I can't get another 2500 if I don't do the sub vented lease. So upon taking possession I can buy it out in cash not pay the no exact or and take advantage of all the rebates.

Hmmm,

Compare the bottom line, out the door cash prices. That's the only way for sure to know what your debt load will be. In my opinion, debt load is more important then the payment number. Payment is determined by the debt you agree to carry.

I will be getting this jeep for just under 40k when I do an immoderate payoff. Was not aware I could do this till today.
