4WD Needs Servicing

Great my 2019 JLU is now just paid off and it's going to the dealer on December 1 to have the 4WD looked at, this weekend it wouldn't go into 4H. Went from 2H to neutral and then 4WD. I did a message about 2 months ago on the dash saying service 4WD system. Hoping it's covered under the extended warranty I pay for.

My wife had that happen on her 2023 JT. It was still under the original warranty and they replaced an electronic actuator that connects and disconnects the front drive shaft to fix it. The dealer made it sound like it was a common failure.

Wouldn't go into 4WD - how? The shift lever wouldn't move into 4WD position, or the Jeep wouldn't engage 4WD? If the latter, see attached Star Case. Pretty easy fix.

The shift lever slides past 4h and goes to Neutral and 4low, it bypasses 4h no matter how gentle to try to slide the shift lever.

Interesting a common failure. My 07 JK never had as many issues as this JLU has. Miss my JK.

The Service 4WD light came on on the way back from a wheeling trip where it had rained a lot overnight before the last day causing the trails to turn into sloppy mud mess. Possibly related to the failure.

UPDATE: Jeep is all fixed cost me $100 cause the extended warranty covered it all. It was a selector switch on the transfer case that needed to be replaced.
