How did you remove the lower part of the fenders? I know it's a dumb question. I've also got a JLU Rubicon and I can't figure it out. Especially the rear fenders.

You need to follow this up with a matching red stripe up and over the middle of your rig. Either way, awesome accents!

I’ve read all the technicals on the new axles .250 more
On wall thickness and .150 on ends . There’s no way 40’s will be okay long term on stock.
And how many people do you know of out of the thousands of modified Jeeps on stock axles have actually broken or bent the housing?. I've heard the internet "Experts" say this for 10+years. Not that I'm any kind of trail/offroading expert, but I've had 4 built Jks and a 2018 JL on everything from 38x15.5's to 40's, all on stock axles, and have wheeled them all, NEVER had any issues long term (John Bull Gatekeeper, Marble Canyon,Matino Wash etc) . If you're going to be stupid and run through the desert at 60 mph with 40's and stock axles or wheel without any regard for your equipment, then sure.

It definitely wears parts down quicker. So it is good to be prepared for that.

My buddy owns a shop and he has had a decent amount of bent/broken housings, broken axles shafts, chewed gears etc. Some are from wheeling hard, one guy never wheeled and his housing snapped going down the hwy. Seems to really be hit or miss. Some have no issue others do. It is best to just be prepared with repair money.

Like you have have had many JK and now JL on 37-40s and have had no major issues. Just replacing parts or upgrading.

I agree with that 100%. The added weight is going to stress the parts. I just think its way overblown by people with no actual experience or that dont actually run 40's on their own rigs with stock axles. Again, I'm definitely not the most experienced guy myself, but I've seen guys on the trail abuse their rigs (In my opinion), when they could have picked a better line or gone over the obstacle more carefully instead of big league-in. Of course now that i've given my opinion, I'll probably break a shaft going over a speed bump!

I think the majority of catastrophic issues come from people that rock crawl or really beat on their jeeps. For the average Joe they will usually be fine.

Funny you mention speed bumps. That is where my only major issue came from. I was going about 40 down a country road. Came around a curve and there was a random speed mound (a real big speed bump). I launched it and caught air, enough so sing just a good'ol boy never meaning no harm before I hit the ground. Blew out my front driveshaft....

Wow, that must have been a hell of a speed bump! Glad that's all that happened. We all know how much these rigs cost, its no fun to replace things! Really like your rig.
